Bueno, es el tiempo del año para death metal escandinavo (o wanscandinavian, por wannabes); aunque siguen siendo mejores que Atreyu (si, ya entendimos que quieren ser como Evanescence sin las clases de canto) o Avenged Sevenfold (¿qué pedo con estos idiotas? Se creen Guns N’ Roses darketos o algo así...esperen, los GN’R darkeros son L.A. Guns, pero estos no son tan buenos, aunque sea LAG tocaban “The Ballad Of Jane” y Tracii era en guitarrista original de GN’R, así que ellos pierden), Darkest Hour son solo otros de los millones de bandas que toman prestando casi todo de At The Gates e In Flames del principio para poder aproximarse aunque sea un poquito a algo tan clásico y totalmente pocamadre como Slaughter Of The Soul, pero siempre acaban dejando que desear porque copian todo; pero en lo que se refiere a bandas tocando en un género estrecho y limitado, los Hour son bastante buenos en eso. Este se parece mucho a su disco anterior, pero esta vez demuestran mas dinámica y mejor composición, lo cual se aprecia. Si lo único que quieres son un par de buenos riffs y una buena headbangueada, entonces oye esto.

Well, it’s a Scandinavian (or Wanscandinavian) death metal time of the year; while they’re still better than Atreyu (yeah, we get you want to be Evanescence without the singing lessons) or Avenged Sevenfold (what’s with those idiots? They think they’re like the goth Guns N’ Roses...wait, the goth GN’R is L.A. Guns, but these guys aren’t as good, at least LAG had “The Ballad Of Jane” and Tracii was the original guitarist in GN’R, so these guys lose), Darkest Hour are just another of the minions of bands borrowing everything from At The Gates and early In Flames to try to actually come near to something as timeless and downright badass as Slaughter Of The Soul, yet always fall short because they’re copying everything; but as far as bands within a narrow and limited style of music go, the Hour are pretty good in it. This one is kinda like their last album, but this time they show a little more dynamic and better songwriting, which are appreciated. If you’re just looking for a couple of nice riffs and well proceeded headbang, then listen to this.
